Even though Hybrids are great, its expensive to replace the battery cell after 5 years. I read that it costs $5000 to replace the battery cell when it needs to be replaced after 5 years.

the not warming up your car unless your windows are foggy and frosted
the catalyst and oxygen sensor dont work right away so warming it up without having rpms higher your using more gas unless emission system warms up and starts managing fuel
basicly it runs rich until it warms up

Yes, his reasoning sucked balls. But he is right to an extent.
With a heavier car with a bigger engine you better off going faster INSTEAD of jack rabbit starts.
You should have a very linear and low acceleration. Break the speed limit by 10 or 20mph, and keep going without pushing the gas any more then you already do. Then start coasting. Especially if you see a red light from far away.
Thats why highway MPH > City MPG. Objects already in motion need less energy to move.

Great Tips! I will tell others about this.

about the hybrid it: cost more and takes more energy for a hybride to be recycled than it does a hummer... also energy the the amount of time it takes.

also keep your windows closed on the freeway.

u save more gas if u go 60 miles then 55
cbtalker205 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
yeha he is full of shit but cruise control is not good to save gas because when the cruise is set it accelerates to said speed then lets off the gas and when speed drops it accelerates again over and over, so it is better to just use your foot on the pedal.

Did you know that if you have an intercooler and turbo, you can use water to help with gas mileage!!!???
See my channel for more info.

hahaha and wtf is "when u drive faster the fuel burns slower?" that makes absolutely no sense. high rpm=more gas used. if u knew anything about burn time ud know diesel burns the slowest, gas makes no difference in rpm for burn time. we are all limited by the traffic system. driveing faster between red lights is stupid and you wont get there any faster. its a matter of timing with the lights. you are the kind of person that gets people killed because u wanna get to that red light and wait. idiot |
