THIS IS THE MOST RETARDED THING I'VE EVER HEARD! and this coming from a professional singer in a band! while a singer is often fan favourite MANY bands have lived on without thier frontman (AC/DC reached higher fame) whilst the loss of John Bohnam (Drums) destroyed Led Zeppelin
I happen to like fuel for Carl Bell's songwriting over Brett's voice - i.e. don't make a statement when you don't know what you're talking about!

He had an Accident that damaged his vocal cords. He Healed but it strained and hurt to keep trying to sing them Power Vocals he has to hit.. He chose to leave band because he felt he was hurting the band and himself.. wasn't like they kicked him out.... they tried to work it out... Kinda sad really. Is always hard for new person to step into someone elses role..

It was Brett's choice to leave. Fuel wanted him to stay. Once his decision was made, Craig Bell (guitar/writer) asked Chris Daughtry to join (after he was voted off American Idol), but he wanted to front his original band.
